I thought I'd kick off this new space with a bit of an introduction.
My name is Louise Williams and I am the founder and CEO of this company! We are dedicated to helping survivors of toxic relationships create the life they deserve!
I am currently wrapping up my Ph.D. in Philosophy and I have personally endured four toxic relationships in my life - 2 parents, 1 partner, and 1 mother in law.
Like most folks getting a Ph.D. in philosophy, I was headed into a career as a University Professor. As I came toward the end of my studies, I realized I wanted to help with more than just writing essays.
Today I am committed to helping folks survive some of the toughest relationships any human has to face.
While it might not seem obvious, the tools of philosophy have proved truly invaluable to my own journey through toxic relationships.
Philosophy gets a bad reputation for being a really stuffy activity for old white dudes with long beards. My whole career, I've wanted to change that image.
Early in my studies, I decided to break out of the traditional white dude mold and I decided to go to Nepal and begin studying Buddhist Philosophy Today it is one of my main areas of expertise.
Now I am dedicating my efforts to debunking the idea that philosophy is a stuffy and pointless activity. I am working to translate the insights from both Western and Eastern philosophy into concrete things folks can directly use in their journey through toxic relationships.
This blog is dedicated to everyone who is trying their best to work through these toxic relationships.

As you work through the content here, it's important that you know that I am not a mental health professional. You should take all of my ideas and advice in light of that fact. I am trained as a philosophical counselor, but unlike mental health professionals, we are not licensed by the government.
If you find yourself in immediate need of support, I recommend reaching out to the Crisis Text Line. They offer 24-hour support with trained Crisis Counselors.
I am so glad you are here with me and I cannot wait for us to get started!
